Hailing from Oakland, California, Edward E. Givans is the accomplished author of Infantry Born to Fight. After enlisting in the United States Army in December 1982 as an Infantryman, he served for 21 years before retiring on February 2, 2003. Currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, he established Givans Taekwondo in 2004, teaching over 200 children valuable life skills and training athletes for the Olympic Games. His passion lies in motivating and mentoring young individuals to become responsible community members. Edward E. Givans is married to Janice Givans and has four children: Edward D., Andre, Christian, and CJ.Nickolas.
